Compliance and Privacy Manager, APAC

Job Description

Fusion Worldwide is seeking a Compliance and Privacy Manager for their APAC operations, based in Shenzhen, China. This role involves supporting the development, implementation, and management of the APAC compliance program, including export control and privacy. The Compliance Manager will report to the Director of Global Compliance and Privacy in Singapore.Fusion Worldwide is the premier global open-market distributor of electronic components and finished products, established in 2001 with 22 locations across four continents.Responsibilities:

• Managing the regional privacy operation, including reviewing standard privacy clauses in agreements and contracts.
• Reviewing internal and external privacy policies and impact assessments.
• Interfacing with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of privacy requirements in APAC.
• Implementing measures to manage data flow and usage in compliance with regional regulations.
• Developing templates for data collection, data mapping, and vendor management.
• Serving as a primary point of contact for privacy topics in APAC.
• Monitoring changes in local privacy laws and making recommendations.
• Assisting with privacy audits.
• Supporting export compliance tasks.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience in compliance, legal, audit, or risk function, with recent experience in privacy compliance.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy and data protection regulations.
• Good understanding of major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation in APAC.
• Experience in developing policy and compliance training.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or above.
• Proactive work attitude, self-motivation, independence, and detail-orientation.
• Good team player with overall planning and organizing competency.
• Proficiency in Chinese and English.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
