Associate Vice President Operations, Governance & Security

Job Description

AirTrunk is seeking an Associate Vice President, Operations, Governance & Security to be based in their Singapore HQ. This role reports to the Chief Data Centre Officer and involves working closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region. The candidate will drive operational governance initiatives, advise on operational assurance solutions, and develop expertise in risk management, business continuity, and emergency response.Role involves:

• Overseeing data centre operational governance and controls.
• Coordinating assurance activities for all operating sites.
• Updating the internal operations assurance system.
• Providing tailored training and competency development support.
• Overseeing a team maintaining Data Centre government compliances.
• Leading a team providing internal consultative advice on Security systems.
• Monitoring new build sites and managing data centre specific risks.
• Supporting site teams in the delivery of their Business Continuity and Emergency response planning.
• Advising on the application of Corporate and Operations Document Control Standards.
• Partnering with the Executive leadership team to develop regional/global risk, governance and security strategies.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in data centres.
• A background in mechanical, electrical engineering or technology is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data centre best practices, operational excellence, risk management, and governance.
• Knowledge of external standards (ISO, SOC2, PCI) as well government standards relating to data centres.
• Ability to apply independent judgement and maintain good relations during assurance audits.
• A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related trade.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region for approximately 1-2 weeks per quarter.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create and direct cross-functional group forums for managing risks.
• Experience in building out functions and leading teams.
• Experience in communicating and presenting to a senior leadership / board level forum.
