Job Description

PlayStation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Gaming, Developer and Future Technology (GDFT), Applied Research Engineering team. This role involves implementing and delivering state-of-the-art applications and plug-ins across various products, services, and platforms. The Senior Software Engineer will evaluate research from GDFT R&D teams, create architectures and specifications, collaborate with engineers to deliver network-enabled solutions, and contribute to continuous innovation.

What this role involves:

  • Evaluating state-of-the-art research from GDFT R&D teams.
  • Creating architectures, specifications, and frameworks.
  • Collaborating with engineers to deliver network-enabled solutions.
  • Planning, coordination, and risk management.
  • Continuously innovating and delivering advancements for existing projects.
  • Participating in code reviews.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in C/C++, Go, and Python.
  • Experience with web technologies and services (HTML5, REST, JSON, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, oauth).
  • Experience with Linux-based servers and Docker.
  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Exposure to Machine Learning and AI technologies.
  • Strong technical background in maths or computer science.
  • Ability to review, debug, and enhance code.
  • Ability to work constructively in a team and proactively on your own.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
