Data Scientist – Data Science Analytics and Enablement (DSAE)

Job Description

PlayStation is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Data Science Analytics and Enablement (DSAE) team in London. The Data Scientist will be responsible for building and supporting data science products that drive business impact across PlayStation. They will collaborate with other data scientists, engineers, and product managers to serve teams such as marketing, operations, engineering, product planning, R&D, and finance.

The Data Scientist will work on either Forecasting & Value Models or Growth Modelling. The Forecasting & Value Models role focuses on quantifying and anticipating the future value of PlayStation's customer base. The Growth Modelling role focuses on prototyping, developing, and validating models that inform marketing, customer lifecycle, and commercial strategies.

What this role involves:

• Partnering with commercial, finance, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into actionable products.
• Building and refining predictive models focused on forecasting customer lifetime value (CLV).
• Prototyping and validating growth-focused models, including churn and purchase propensity.
• Supporting experimentation programs with actionable model outputs.
• Communicating modelling rationale, assumptions, and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

• Strong programming and data skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience applying data science techniques such as supervised/unsupervised learning, segmentation, and forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to extract insight from sophisticated, high-volume datasets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A collaborative attitude.
