Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Senior Regulatory Counsel to join their APAC Regulatory team in Singapore. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice, providing payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. This role involves providing strategic regulatory advice, leading regulatory engagements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
The role involves:
- Providing strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading regulatory engagements and managing relationships with regulators and auditors.
- Anticipating and identifying key regulatory obligations and integrity risks.
- Translating identified obligations into relevant Policies and Procedures.
- Representing Regulatory on various workstreams and products.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in a commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, Australia).
- 10+ years’ experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments, financial services and/or fintech industry.
- Knowledgeable in the payments, financial services and/or fintech industry.
- Strong sense of initiative, independence, and ability to take ownership.
- Analytical and critical thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Residency in Singapore.
