Job Description
31st Union is seeking a Senior Technical Animation Designer to design, create, and maintain animation systems for character gameplay motion. This role involves collaborating with Animation, Engineering, and Design teams to deliver a cohesive, high-quality animation style. The Senior Technical Animation Designer will define goals, implement scalable solutions, and provide technical support to animators. They will also document processes and share insights to improve team workflows.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Animation, Engineering, and Design teams.

- Build and refine animation systems.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to animators.
- Document processes and share insights.
Requirements: - Shipped at least one AAA title with 4+ years of professional animation experience in Maya.
- Strong understanding of third-person shooter mechanics and in-engine animation systems.
- Proficient with run-time and procedural animation tools.
- Experienced in Unreal Engine (2+ years), including scripting with Blueprints and/or C++.
- Skilled at bridging disciplines with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Continuously up to date with the latest in Unreal, Maya, and animation technologies.
