Job Description
dmg events, an international exhibitions and publishing company, is seeking a Head of Sales to be fully responsible for revenue generation from exhibition stands and sponsorship packages. The Head of Sales will work with the Event Director to manage a network of overseas sales agents and seek out new business opportunities. They will monitor sales figures and report on progress to senior management, while also reviewing competitive events to identify new leads. The role involves maintaining regular contact with existing and potential clients, visiting exhibitions, and developing new business opportunities.
Role Involves:
- Selling exhibition space and sponsorships to achieve revenue targets.
- Managing a network of overseas sales agents.
- Seeking out and evaluating new business opportunities.
- Monitoring sales figures and reporting to senior management.
- Maintaining contact with existing and potential clients.
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years of B2B sales management and account handling experience within the exhibitions/events industry.
- Familiarity in selling construction and design products/services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic & English (written and spoken).
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of clients and partners.
- Highly motivated and ambitious with a desire to take ownership.
- Ability to work towards KPIs and exceed targets.
- Adaptable and collaborative nature.
- Ability to travel within the region as required.
