DevOps Engineer

Geneva Trading, a premier global principal trading firm, is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer for their Chicago office. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with trading, infrastructure, and development teams to build, maintain, and optimize systems powering a low-latency trading environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader with a passion for automation and performance, capable of mentoring junior engineers.Responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining automated tools to support trading and infrastructure systems.
• Optimizing Linux-based environments for performance and reliability.
• Leading performance and latency testing for mission-critical applications.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to drive technical improvements and best practices.
• Mentoring and supporting the growth of junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux use and administration.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Proven ability to build simple, robust automated tools.
• Experience with performance testing and tuning.
• Background in latency-sensitive applications running on Linux.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
