Information Security Engineer

Job Description

The company is seeking an Information Security Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to address hybrid infrastructure challenges. The ideal candidate will design and manage secure network configurations, maintain security tools, perform security validation, and provide IT support on secure hardening practices.

What the role involves:

• Designing and managing secure network configurations for server infrastructure, public cloud, and containerized environments.
• Maintaining current security tools and managing the implementation and integration of new ones.
• Performing security validation and implementing hardening processes across various systems.
• Providing IT-staff with support and guidance on secure hardening practices.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, etc.).
• Familiarity with threat detection/prevention techniques at each network level.
• Practical experience in securing network infrastructure and configurations (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, etc.).
• Expertise in hardening operating systems and network services across different platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
• Practical experience securing containerized environments and orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Practical experience securing public clouds.
• Experience in implementing, maintaining, and configuring security tools (e.g., EDR, VM, MDM, PAM systems, etc.).
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Bash).
