Senior Manager, Moloco Ads Infrastructure

Job Description

Moloco is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its technology platform efforts. This role requires a strong technical leader with experience in managing cloud infrastructure, driving cost efficiency, and leading high-performing engineering teams.Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for cloud infrastructure, shared platforms, scalability, observability, and reliability.
• Establish and maintain a robust observability stack for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and distributed systems.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Manage multiple organizations, setting clear goals, and driving performance.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop top engineering talent.
• Serve as a technical leader, and provide guidance on architecture decisions.
• Collaborate effectively with product engineering teams
• Leverage extensive experience in building and managing large-scale distributed systems.
• Utilize strong programming skills in Golang, Java, C, and Python.
• Apply deep knowledge of modern technology platforms
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud spending across multiple cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Analyze cloud usage patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement solutions to reduce unit costs.
• Build and maintain a platform for granular insights into engineering spend, enabling data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of industry experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• 8+ years of management experience leading and managing multiple engineering organizations.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proven track record of optimizing cloud reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Experience with geographically distributed engineering teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
