Senior Manager, Humanitarian

Job Description

GiveDirectly is seeking a Senior Manager for their Humanitarian team to scale emergency response operations globally. This role involves launching and overseeing rapid cash responses, driving organizational readiness, designing response strategies, managing program implementation, and supporting fundraising efforts.Responsibilities:

• Overseeing end-to-end design, planning, and execution of improvements to emergency response capabilities.
• Refining and scaling deployment criteria and operational playbooks.
• Conducting operational diligence, feasibility, and risk assessments.
• Defining, tracking, and reporting on operational efficiency and impact metrics.
• Ensuring high-quality management of partners, vendors, and subgrantees.
• Pursuing new funding opportunities and representing the GD Humanitarian team.
• Managing a Program Manager and supporting broader surge staffing efforts.
• Fostering talent development through coaching and career planning.

Requirements:

• 4-7+ years of experience in problem-solving, team management, and/or new business development.
• Prior humanitarian/emergency experience strongly preferred.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong technical skills, including data analysis.
• Fundraising experience.
• Strong communications skills.
• Enthusiasm for fast-paced environments.
