Senior Solution Architect

Job Description

Accela is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join its Solution Architecture Team. This team plays a crucial role in driving successful implementations of the Accela Civic Platform by providing design and thought leadership. The Senior Solution Architect will translate complex government processes into intuitive, easy-to-use packaged solutions on the Accela Civic Platform. They will own their solutions end-to-end, from design and implementation to packaging, publishing, and tracking adoption. These solutions will be leveraged by government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels across the globe.Role involves:

• Translating complex government processes into intuitive solutions.
• Owning solutions end-to-end, from design to implementation.
• Supporting internal initiatives and pre-sales activities.
• Developing best practices and standards.
• Contributing to small-to-medium scale delivery projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with the Accela Civic Platform.
• Strong development background with JavaScript, C#/Java, SQL, HTML, and Crystal Reports/SSRS.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
• Solid grasp of cloud architecture concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud service models and architecture discussions.
• Experience with enterprise application integration, data migration (ETL), and business intelligence.
• Background in responsive web design, mobile development, and web services architecture.
• Working knowledge of network, application, and information security principles.
• Ability to lead customer-facing sessions and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Government domain experience and/or consulting background.
• Ability to travel up to 20–30% of the time.
