Credit Risk Director, Flex Originations (Credit Cards)

Job Description

Monzo is seeking a Credit Risk Director to lead the credit strategy for Flex originations. The role involves leading a team responsible for developing credit and pricing strategies as the company evolves its existing propositions and develops new products and distribution strategies. The Credit Risk Director will be a member of the Borrowing Leadership Team, which drives Monzo's overall borrowing strategy.Role involves:

• Leading a team to develop credit and pricing strategies for Flex products.
• Working with squad leadership to develop and execute a growth strategy.
• Overseeing the development and maintenance of NPV models and affordability strategies.
• Promoting a culture of proactive analysis and ensuring the right credit capabilities are in place.
• Collaborating with stakeholders including Capital, Impairments and Forecasting, and Financial Health.

Requirements:

• Multiple years of experience in unsecured lending, especially credit cards.
• Comfortable with both hands-on work and strategic thinking.
• Understanding of lending regulations in the UK.
• Experience working at banks with growing lending portfolios.
• Track record of leading analytical teams.
• Clear and precise communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving company.
• (Ideally) working knowledge of SQL and Python.
