Site Reliability Engineer (4 to 7 years)

Job Description

PhonePe is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to maintain the reliability and performance of its fintech infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux/Unix administration and networking, along with a keen understanding of open source technologies, tools, and cloud services. This role is based in Bangalore and requires 4 to 7 years of experience.About PhonePe:PhonePe is India’s leading digital payments company with 50 crore (500 Million) registered users and 3.7 crore (37 Million) merchants covering over 99% of the postal codes across India.Role Involves:

• Maintaining the reliability and performance of PhonePe's fintech infrastructure.
• Implementing best practices and IT operations to maintain an always-up, always-available service.
• Participating actively in the on-call rotation schedule.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
• Computer networking proficiency and working knowledge.
• Experience with open source technologies, tools, and cloud services.
• Strong background in Linux networking, including the use of IP, iptables, and IPsec.
• Experience with MySQL databases.
• Coding and scripting skills (Perl, Python, or Golang preferred).
• Experience with automation and configuration management (SaltStack).
• Hands-on experience with private cloud environments.
• Effective communication in English.
