GitLab is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Manager to lead customer-facing communication efforts. This role involves ensuring customers receive timely and valuable updates on product developments, incidents, and key company initiatives. The Communications Manager will collaborate with various teams, including Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Legal, to maintain transparency and trust with the customer base.
Role Involves:
- Developing and implementing communication plans for product updates.
- Leading customer communications during service interruptions and incidents.
- Collaborating with teams to distribute customer newsletters and engagement materials.
- Serving as a liaison between customer-facing teams and internal departments.
- Drafting and editing customer-facing communications.
- Gathering feedback to refine communication strategies.
- Executing communication plans for potential service disruptions or crises.
- Tracking the effectiveness of communication efforts using key metrics.
Requirements:
- Experience in customer communications or a related role within a SaaS or tech environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with incident management communications and crisis response.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps or related technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different departments.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proficiency with communication platforms and tools.
