Senior Software Engineer 

Job Description

VGW, an interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Engineering team in Perth. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for improving the codebase, understanding design decisions, and ensuring effective product feature delivery. They will also implement and use event-driven architectures.

The role involves:

• Writing clean, well-structured code and automated tests.
• Managing source control.
• Improving the codebase.
• Understanding design and architectural decisions.
• Ensuring effective product feature delivery.
• Implementing and using event-driven architectures.
• Cloud development.

Requirements:

• Robust coding practices.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Cloud development experience (AWS preferred).
• Containerization experience (Docker and/or Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of OO and Functional programming.
• Collaborative approach to software engineering.
• Ability to develop and communicate technical solutions.
• Empathy and willingness to coach and mentor.
