Job Description
Bitpanda is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Python skills to join their team in Barcelona. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining the systems that handle pricing and risk management across various asset classes, including stocks, crypto, ETFs, metals, and fiat currencies. The successful candidate will contribute to adding new assets to the platform, integrating with new exchanges, and developing tools for price charting and leveraged crypto products.
What this role involves:
- Driving core technical decisions and shaping the team's vision.
- Building high-performance, scalable backend systems using Python.
- Designing and maintaining clean, testable code within a microservice ecosystem.
- Leading the evolution of the event-driven architecture.
- Tackling complex challenges in pricing, hedging, and asset management.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of Python development experience in product-driven environments.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, websockets, and network communication.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong leadership skills to drive technical initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
