Job Description

2K is seeking a Principal Data Architect to join their team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and accessibility across all data platforms, collaborating with various teams to drive a strong data governance strategy aligned with business objectives.

What This Role Involves:

  • Designing and implementing data governance policies, processes, and standards.
  • Establishing data ownership and stewardship models.
  • Implementing and maintaining metadata management solutions.
  • Defining and enforcing data quality rules and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Working with Data Engineering to implement data governance tools.
  • Educating business & technology teams on data governance best practices.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with ETL Design and Development.
  • Working experience with data governance platforms.
  • 7+ years of experience with Data Architecture and Modeling.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Familiarity with data lakes, warehouses, and cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling tools administration.
  • Expertise in data privacy laws & regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance operating models & stewardship frameworks.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive governance initiatives.
