Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support the Neutron team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves providing cross-functional support to align mechanical and fluid system designs with the program's strategy. The Systems Engineer will optimize system performance through technical assessment and define process excellence for the project.Rocket Lab's Neutron team is responsible for bringing new large rocket Neutron and its launch and test sites to life.What this role involves:

• Driving cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components and fluid systems.
• Verifying requirements through analysis and test.
• Evaluating technical program decisions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Communicating internally and externally on product status.
• Identifying and solving technical challenges.
• Defining and upholding high-quality engineering processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 1-5 years of industry experience in a relevant technical field.
• Experience in delivering complex multidisciplinary systems.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven communication skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong aptitude to learn new material.
• Working knowledge of Engineering design, CAD, Engineering drawings, manufacturing processes.
