Mid-level Backend Software Engineer | Challenges & Gamification

Job Description

Wellhub is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to join their Challenges & Gamification team in Brazil. This role is within the Consumer Digital Experience (CODE) Focus Area, which aims to enhance user engagement and promote the use of Wellhub services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about software development, driven by quality and timeliness, and eager to contribute to architectural decisions and innovation.Responsibilities include:

• Participating in architectural decisions and suggesting improvements.
• Collaborating with product teams and business stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Taking ownership of key features and performing pull request reviews.
• Ensuring code quality and promoting development best practices.
• Participating in incident resolution and troubleshooting in production.

Requirements:

• Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications.
• Experience developing RESTful web services.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Kotlin, or Java.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers.
• Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
