Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Category Associate to expand its presence in new categories. This role involves identifying and recruiting new sellers to join the Whatnot community. The Category Associate will be the go-to expert for their category, understanding seller/buyer dynamics, community channels, influencers, and product nuances. They will also be the face of Whatnot for the community of sellers and buyers they represent.
Role involves:
- Sourcing and reaching out to sellers to convince them to join and grow their business on Whatnot.
- Onboarding groups of sellers, teaching them how to use the app.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with sellers and top strategic partners.
- Collaborating with partners to develop business growth strategies.
- Spearheading marketing initiatives to boost brand awareness and attract more buyers.
- Using data analytics skills to derive insights from projects and enhance process efficiency.
Requirements:
- Fluent French and English speaker, with a deep understanding of the French market.
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
- Scrappy and flexible enough to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Problem solver with strong project management skills.
- Business acumen and analytical skills.
