Job Description
Jumio is seeking a DWH Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data warehouse solutions. This role involves managing end-to-end data workflows, optimizing data storage, and ensuring data quality and reliability across cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with BI and analytics teams to support business insights and reporting needs.
Role Involves:
- Designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services and traditional RDBMS tools.
- Developing and maintaining data models and procedural logic using Glue, Lambda, or Python in Amazon Redshift and Athena.
- Integrating and managing data from various sources including S3, Glue, EC2, and other AWS components.
- Supporting and enhancing reporting infrastructure using tools such as PowerBI and SSRS.
- Participating in database migration projects from on-premise to AWS environments.
- Developing and deploying Lambda functions and maintaining infrastructure scripts.
- Troubleshooting and monitoring data workflows using tools like Datadog and MWAA.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse development and operations.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, building data products and performance tuning.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
- PowerBI reporting knowledge.
- Unix/Linux scripting experience.
- Exposure to Bitbucket and Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA).
- Prior involvement in cloud migration projects, especially from on-prem databases to AWS.
