Business Resilience Manager

Job Description

Policy Expert is seeking a Business Resilience Manager to join their Risk and Resilience Team. This role is crucial in maintaining operational resilience and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Business Resilience Manager will be responsible for leading the business-wide approach to operational resilience, serious incident management, and the business continuity program. They will work closely with the Risk Manager to enhance internal controls and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Group Head of Risk in embedding the Operational Resilience program.
• Leading the implementation of the Risk Events program.
• Managing group-wide serious incident management frameworks.
• Overseeing Business Continuity responsibilities, including BIAs and BCPs.
• Managing the Exercise and Testing program.
• Conducting Business Continuity and Operational Resilience Due Diligence for suppliers.

Requirements:

• Material involvement in the development of Operational Resilience as per FCA PS21/3.
• Experience in an FCA or PRA-regulated Financial Services firm.
• Good understanding of core Risk Management approaches.
• Ability to remain level-headed during live incidents.
• Understanding of an insurance company’s core business processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work at pace and with resilience.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and decision-making capability.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
