Principal Engineer (ZDX Platform)

Job Description

Zscaler is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead technical initiatives in ZDX Data & AI. Reporting to the Director of Platform Engineering, the Principal Engineer will drive innovation and efficiency across the platform by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient systems. This role is based in San Jose, CA, and follows a hybrid work model.Role involves:

• Architecting and building robust, scalable, and efficient distributed systems.
• Leveraging knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Managing systems running on Linux.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure.
• Expertise in operating large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with complex system architectures and design patterns.
