Data Engineer

Job Description

Helmes is seeking a skilled Mid to Senior level Data Engineer to join their Data Team and collaborate with experts. The Data Engineer will primarily focus on implementing a new cloud-based data architecture for an international financial institution using modern tools like Snowflake. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in various projects, from crafting ETL processes and implementing data models to setting up data warehouses. There is also room to explore tasks like customer requirements gathering and building dashboards.

The Data Engineer will gain hands-on experience with diverse technologies and have the opportunity to put their ideas into action.

Role Involves:

• Data warehouse development using cloud-based tools
• Participating in an agile development process
• Setting up ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and GUI-based tools
• Creating and implementing data models
• Conducting meetings with customers to gather requirements
• Creating visualizations on platforms like Power BI and Tableau

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience as a SQL developer, Data Warehouse developer, or Data Engineer
• Very good SQL knowledge
• Experience with dimensional data modeling
• Very good English language skills
• Analytical mindset
• Ability and willingness to communicate with customers
