Job Description
Luminar Technologies is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented System Administrator to join their IT team. This role is based in Gurugram, India. The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining a secure and efficient server and network infrastructure, collaborating on projects, and providing support to staff.
Role involves:
- Account Management: Creating and maintaining user accounts.
- Server Administration: Configuring and managing Windows and Linux servers.
- Backup & Recovery: Implementing and monitoring backup strategies.
- Automation: Developing scripts to automate tasks.
- Application & License Management: Supporting enterprise software and maintaining license compliance.
- System Maintenance: Performing updates and health checks.
- Documentation & Training: Creating documentation and delivering training.
- Technical Support: Troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Ticketing: Tracking work through a Helpdesk system.
- Operational Support: Assisting with local deployments and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server OS.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory administration.
- Experience with VMware Suite (vSphere, vCenter).
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with SSO platforms, especially Okta.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience with storage systems and file encryption.
- Ability to diagnose hardware/software/network issues.
- Comfortable working independently and in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Analytical mindset.
- Physically capable of lifting IT hardware (up to 50 lbs.).
- Flexible to work non-standard hours.
