The Field Engineering Tech Lead role at Scale involves being a key part of their engineering team. This person will ensure customers can effectively integrate and utilize Scale’s solutions.

The Field Engineering Tech Lead will work across backend systems, automation workflows, and API integrations. This person will also collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage technical relationships with customers.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of engineers.
  • Optimize and automate data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain internal tools, documentation, and SDKs.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Min of 6+ years of relevant engineering experience in SaaS, AI/ML, or enterprise technical roles.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (required); familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, debugging integration issues, and improving automation workflows.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or similar databases for managing structured data.
  • Experience managing small teams, in fast paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer requests efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
