Sr. Software Quality Engineer - Contract

PlayStation is seeking a Sr. Software Quality Engineer to join their team in San Mateo, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality and have experience testing new and existing features on multiple platforms and devices. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of automation and test frameworks.Responsibilities include:

• Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases.
• Improving processes and driving their usage within the teams.
• Partnering with the development team to ensure test coverage.
• Reviewing product requirements and technical design documents.
• Collaborating with distributed teams for test plan design and execution.
• Reporting, tracking, and verifying defects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA methodologies.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with test case management systems & JIRA.
• Experience with automation using Java, Python, etc.
• Experience using source control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins or Circle CI).
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with React.
• Experience developing or testing a non-PC device.
• Knowledge and experience testing APIs and Service Oriented architecture.
