Job Description
Insomniac is seeking a Project Manager (Systems) to join the PlayStation team. This role involves leading and coordinating with vision holders to set Pod goals, ensuring the successful implementation of System features and Mechanics. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in delivering an immersive gaming experience by managing schedules, facilitating communication, and solving challenges within the development process.

Role involves:
  • Building, modifying, and maintaining schedules for assigned Pods in partnership with Pod Leads.
  • Partnering with Track and Pod Leads in the creation of milestone goals deliverables.
  • Anticipating and solving problems independently and collaboratively.
  • Guiding stakeholder reviews and feedback process with Pod Leads.
  • Communicating updates to the development team about project changes and progress.
  • Facilitating cross-discipline communication and unblocking team members from task dependencies.
  • Maintaining awareness of Pod content status through regular play sessions.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of bug tracking database(s) such as DevTrack, TFS, or Jira.
  • Working knowledge of version control software; Perforce is preferred.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and work well within a large team environment.
  • Good team leadership skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to create and maintain good relationships with other departments.
