Job Description
ShipMonk, a leading 3PL provider, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for their Las Vegas location. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence and driving team performance within a high-growth environment. The Senior Operations Manager will establish operational procedures, maintain warehouse conditions, and coordinate with other functional areas. They will also manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and lead cultural changes when necessary. This position requires a proactive leader who can contribute to ShipMonk's commitment to helping e-commerce businesses scale and thrive.
What this role involves:
- Establishing operational procedures for warehouse activities.
- Maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
- Ensuring coordination of warehouse activities with other functional areas.
- Managing the budget and P&L of the operation.
- Monitoring and ensuring facility key performance indicators (KPI) are met.
- Participating in the interviewing, hiring, and training of staff.
- Overseeing warehouse sanitation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Operations, Fulfillment Center Operations, or Distribution Center Operations.
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years related experience and/or training.
- Experience with warehouse management systems.
- Proficiency with enterprise technology systems such as Advanced Excel, Outlook/Gmail, Project Management Software, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Process Workflow creation.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Experience leading teams of 40+ employees.
