Associate Security Analyst

Job Description

Fortra is seeking an Associate Security Analyst to join their team in Mexico. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone passionate about information and cybersecurity. The Associate Security Analyst will be responsible for investigating and defending against cybersecurity incidents, including credential theft, phishing attacks, domain abuse, and business email compromise (BEC) attacks.Role involves:

• Monitoring internal detection systems for new attacks.
• Validating malicious threats.
• Analyzing potential attack vectors and exploring resolution options.
• Building relationships with partnering providers and clients.
• Collaborating with multiple teams to protect clients.
• Utilizing various programs and tools.

Requirements:

• Relevant education or experience in the IT industry.
• Knowledge of Internet innerworkings (IP subnetting, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, etc.).
• Knowledge of common internet attacks.
• Analytical skills for solving complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivation and passion for delighting clients.
• Ability to work with remote-based team members.
• Basic understanding of Unix/Linux command line.
• Phishing Mitigation/Incident Response, Fraud Investigation, Threat Hunting experience preferred.
