Job Description
Fortra is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team in Australia. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with strong technical and presentation skills who are passionate about helping customers find the right solutions. The Solutions Engineer will work closely with sales representatives and other teams to understand customer needs, develop and deliver solution demonstrations, and build proposals. They will also be responsible for managing the customer's evaluation process and addressing any technical objections. What this role involves:
  • Collaborating with sales representatives on customer activities.
  • Conducting pain discovery processes to understand customer needs.
  • Developing and delivering high-impact solution demonstrations.
  • Managing customer evaluations of offered products and solutions.
  • Addressing technical objections during the sales process.
  • Building and defending proposals to customers.
  • Estimating implementation services for successful onboarding.
  • Participating in partner activities and enablement.
  • Delivering technical presentations and responding to questions.
  • Representing Fortra at trade shows and events.
  • Serving as a market expert on products.

Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in a technical field or adequate career experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT (technical presales, consultancy, development, or support).
  • Excellent oral presentation and public relations skills.
  • General knowledge of technologies such as SQL, databases, operating systems, email, web file transfers, cloud infrastructure, and cryptography.
  • Previous experience in development or scripting.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (1-3 times per quarter).
  • Previous experience in MFT or job scheduling solutions is a plus.
