Senior Software Engineer - Bitcoin Team

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Bitcoin Team in San Francisco. BitGo is a leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions. This role is full-time onsite to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.BitGo handles a significant portion of Bitcoin network transactions and is the largest independent digital asset custodian and staking provider in the world. The ideal candidate will enhance multi-signature Bitcoin wallets, ensure system scalability and performance, and contribute Bitcoin expertise across the engineering team.Responsibilities include:

• Enhancing multi-signature Bitcoin wallets with the latest Bitcoin features.
• Owning the functionality, scalability, and performance of Bitcoin product systems.
• Improving and maintaining existing backend software that integrates with the Bitcoin blockchain.
• Contributing Bitcoin knowledge and expertise throughout the engineering team.
• Exposing and documenting functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Full-Stack software development experience.
• API design philosophy.
• Comfortable with git and Github-based code review.
• Passion for enabling cutting-edge Bitcoin features at scale.
• Belief in testing and shipping.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
