Senior Software Engineer - Bitcoin Team

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Bitcoin Team in Toronto. This role is full-time onsite to foster collaboration and innovation. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for enhancing BitGo's multi-signature Bitcoin wallets, ensuring scalability and performance, and contributing Bitcoin expertise to the engineering team. Role involves:

• Enhancing multi-signature Bitcoin wallets with the latest features.
• Owning the functionality, scalability, and performance of Bitcoin product systems.
• Improving and maintaining backend software that integrates with the Bitcoin blockchain.
• Contributing Bitcoin knowledge throughout the engineering team.
• Exposing and documenting functionality for UI, third-party developers, and internal tooling.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Full-Stack software development experience.
• Thoughtful and sound API design philosophy.
• Comfort with Git and GitHub-based code review.
• Passion for enabling cutting-edge Bitcoin features at scale.
• Belief in thorough testing practices.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
