Software Engineer - Access & Notifications

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Access & Notifications team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building an API-first platform that empowers businesses and developers to launch innovative crypto products. This role is based full-time onsite at BitGo's San Francisco office, fostering a collaborative and dynamic team environment.Responsibilities include:

• Designing and building scalable, well-abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services.
• Taking ownership of functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment.
• Exposing and documenting functionality for UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ensuring application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
• Continuously evaluating and implementing new technologies.
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Providing mentorship to peers.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of back-end and server-side development experience.
• Strong skills in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design.
• Development experience with JVM languages (Java or Kotlin preferred).
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Experience in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI tools.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• Understanding of and interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
