UX Writer

Job Description

Notion is seeking a UX Writer to establish a new writing practice within their Design team. This role offers the opportunity to craft the language and feel of Notion products, aiming for a timeless and user-friendly experience. The UX Writer will collaborate with designers, contributing to new product designs and improving existing ones. Reporting to the Head of Design, the role involves documenting and maintaining UX writing standards across the company.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring clear, consistent, and high-quality language across all Notion products.
• Establishing and promoting the practice of UX Writing throughout the company.
• Contributing directly to new product designs through writing and design guidance.
• Auditing and recommending improvements to existing products.
• Documenting and maintaining UX writing norms and standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a UX writer.
• Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Experience in both consumer and technical writing contexts.
• Ability to design with words and collaborate effectively with product designers.
• Systems thinker with the ability to bring clarity to complex products.
• Sensitivity to brand voice, neutral voices, product marketing, and product design.
• Comfort in cross-functional collaboration.
