Job Description
Scale is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to become a part of their Product Security team. The candidate will play a crucial role in upholding the security and integrity of Scale's products and services. This individual will be responsible for conducting thorough code reviews, implementing security best practices, and shaping the overall security strategy.Role involves:
  • Conducting in-depth code reviews to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Evaluating and enhancing the security of product offerings.
  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on security.
  • Performing Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
  • Utilizing terraform orchestration for secure infrastructure management.
  • Guiding engineering teams to build robust solutions that consider security and privacy.
  • Clearly explaining the mechanics and significance of security vulnerabilities.
  • Influencing the security strategy and direction of the team.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer with a focus on product security.
  • Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of modern Javascript application design.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes backed services
  • Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with terraform orchestration for infrastructure management.
  • Ability to structure complex problems and diagnose root causes independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence security strategies and drive improvements.
  • Relevant security certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in a senior or lead security role is preferred.
