Job Description
xAI is seeking a Privacy and Commercial Counsel EMEA to join their team. This role involves leading xAI’s European privacy and data protection functions, negotiating agreements, and partnering with various teams to implement privacy-by-design. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background and experience in privacy and commercial matters. This role requires a minimum of 3 days in the office in Dublin, Ireland and requires up to 25% travel.

Role Involves:
  • Leading xAI’s European privacy and data protection functions.
  • Negotiating privacy and commercial agreements.
  • Interacting with privacy regulatory authorities.
  • Partnering with technical, product, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Creating processes for efficient privacy and commercial operations.
  • Driving privacy projects.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree.
  • License to practice law in Ireland (bonus for UK).
  • 4+ years of privacy experience.
  • 4+ years of product counseling and/or commercial transactional experience.
  • CIPP/E certification.
  • 6+ years of combined legal experience at a technology company and law firm.
  • In-house experience at a B2C or B2B company.
