Scale is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. The Senior Software Engineer will be an integral member of the engineering team, working on core products and given the opportunity to own critical parts of the products.
Responsibilities:
- Own and architect large-scale processing pipelines
- Work across backend (Node.js, Python) and frontend (React) stacks to build end-to-end solutions
- Interact directly with autonomous vehicle customers to understand their data processing needs
- Design and implement high-performance distributed systems
- Build comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure pipeline reliability and performance
- Deliver experiments and improvements at high velocity while maintaining quality
- Collaborate across teams to optimize the entire data processing lifecycle
Requirements:
- Mastery of TypeScript/Node.js and Python for backend systems
- Strong experience with React and modern frontend development
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and workflow orchestration
- Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Step Functions, SQS)
- Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch
- Track record of scaling data processing systems at high-growth companies
- Excellent English communication skills for cross-team collaboration
