Job Description

Scale is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. Scale is a cutting-edge tech company focused on developing tools that cover the full AI development lifecycle and is backed by a $1B Series F funding, with valuation has surged to over $13.8B. The Senior Software Engineer will be an integral member of the engineering team, working on core products and given the opportunity to own critical parts of the products.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and architect large-scale processing pipelines
  • Work across backend (Node.js, Python) and frontend (React) stacks to build end-to-end solutions
  • Interact directly with autonomous vehicle customers to understand their data processing needs
  • Design and implement high-performance distributed systems
  • Build comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure pipeline reliability and performance
  • Deliver experiments and improvements at high velocity while maintaining quality
  • Collaborate across teams to optimize the entire data processing lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Mastery of TypeScript/Node.js and Python for backend systems
  • Strong experience with React and modern frontend development
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and workflow orchestration
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Step Functions, SQS)
  • Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch
  • Track record of scaling data processing systems at high-growth companies
  • Excellent English communication skills for cross-team collaboration
