Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Product Security to play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of Reddit's systems and data. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners, identifying security risks, developing mitigation strategies, and driving security features in Reddit's products. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in peer programming related to security and privacy components.
- Conduct security architecture reviews.
- Provide technical guidance on security requirements.
- Act as a liaison between infrastructure and development teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Act as a primary point of contact for security-related inquiries.
- Conduct threat modeling assessments.
- Identify and evaluate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Promote security awareness and best practices.
- Participate in security incident response activities.
Requirements:
- Deep experience with Golang programming languages.
- Familiarity with DevOps technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in security partnerships, information security, or related role.
- Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Experience with threat modeling, security risk assessment, and mitigation techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, GCP), infrastructure components, and distributed systems design.
- Experience with vendor security assessments and security compliance.
