Job Description
Barkley Films is seeking a talented Motion Designer to elevate projects from concept to execution. The Motion Designer will contribute to branded campaigns, working between designers and filmmakers to create inspiring work. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is eager to push boundaries across various platforms, including social media, broadcast, and award case studies. Exploration and experimentation are highly encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Concept, design, and execute motion graphic animation across digital platforms.
- Edit and add motion to video, compilations, and sizzles.
- Produce original video content for social media.
- Develop and create next-level motion graphics and animations.
- Provide input on project plans.
- Brainstorm other applications for motion across output.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in motion design and animation.
- Experience in video editing with an eye for storytelling.
- Good sense of timing and screen composition.
- Significant knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
- Commitment to continuous learning and growth.
- Ability to think creatively.
- Ability to work independently and under close direction.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Client management experience and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Media Arts (or equivalent).
- 3 years experience in the digital design services industry.
- Knowledge of video production standards.
- Cinema 4D or other 3D applications experience (preferred).
- Experience with color correction, VFX, and music selection (preferred).
- Knowledge of video codecs and formats (preferred).
- Working knowledge of incorporating sound effects and music into animations (preferred).
