Trade Surveillance Analyst

Job Description

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Trade Surveillance Analyst to join their team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Head of Surveillance and will be responsible for conducting trade monitoring and surveillance, reviewing and enhancing the existing trade surveillance system, and managing projects related to regulatory changes. They will also assist in handling trading inquiries from regulators and exchanges, drafting firm policies, and implementing remedial action plans.

• Conducting trade monitoring and surveillance
• Reviewing and enhancing the existing trade surveillance system/reports
• Managing projects to implement approved enhancements and changes
• Crafting written instructions for programmers and technology staff
• Assisting in handling trading inquiries from regulators and exchanges
• Assisting in drafting and implementing firm policies and procedures
• Developing and implementing remedial action plans

Requirements:

• Good quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Relevant financial market experience
• Familiarity with exchange rules
• Good product knowledge and understanding of the markets
• Prior trade monitoring and surveillance experience
• Solid academic background with relevant qualifications
• "Can-do" attitude and willingness to learn
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Experience in dealing with exchange and regulatory enquiries
• Comfort and fluency with computers and technology
• Ability to work in a small team environment
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
