Product Designer

Job Description

Ahrefs is looking for a skilled Product Designer to become part of their Product team. This senior role extends beyond typical design duties, as Ahrefs' product designers take complete ownership of their products due to the absence of traditional product managers. The Product Designer will collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists, guiding projects from conception to launch and overseeing continuous improvements and support.

What this role involves:

• Contributing to product roadmap development in collaboration with leadership, marketing, and sales teams.
• Conducting research to understand user and business needs.
• Exploring technical details to identify opportunities and constraints.
• Sketching and prototyping ideas for rapid validation.
• Designing elegant and intuitive interfaces from start to finish.
• Leading projects in collaboration with engineers and data scientists throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborating with other product designers to ensure a consistent user experience across the platform.

Requirements:

• Experience in designing interfaces and workflows for complex software products.
• Ability to manage projects from concept to launch.
• Strong visual taste and design skills.
• Proficiency in creating high-fidelity mockups with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to create prototypes to validate product ideas.
• Ability to collect and analyze data from various sources.
• Understanding of software architecture and development processes for effective collaboration with engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting and articulating product and design decisions.
