Job Description

Verra Mobility is seeking a C++ Software Developer to join their team in Melbourne, Australia. This is a hybrid role, requiring both remote and onsite work.

The Software Developer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the software layer of Verra Mobility's existing technology products, including Windows applications for their flagship road safety camera software. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as a passion for C++ programming and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Role Involves:

• Incident management: Responding to and troubleshooting support tickets.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Ensuring the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
• Technical Support: Providing end-users with technical support.
• Database Management: Monitoring and maintaining the health of the Postgres database.
• Knowledge Sharing: Contributing to a knowledge base for effective information sharing within the team.
• Root Cause Analysis: Conducting root cause analysis for major incidents.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as an Application Support Engineer.
• A degree in Computer Science.
• Proficiency in C++, C# .Net, Visual Studio, SVN technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in Jira and Confluence.
• Well-developed communication skills.
