Job Description
Huge is seeking a Production Designer for a contract hourly position based in Austin, TX. The Production Designer will work under the supervision of a Lead Production Designer and be involved in the entire production design process. This involves capturing screenshots, manipulating them in Photoshop, and building them out in a proprietary prototyping tool. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience looking to build their portfolio.
The Designer must be able to work 40 hours a week onsite in Austin, TX, from the beginning of July until the end of August.
What this role involves:
- Finalizing approved concepts and ensuring designs adhere to Design Standards.
- Using prototyping tools to implement hot spots and stick pages together.
- Selecting and implementing final imagery and iconography into pixel-perfect designs.
- Adding final red-line specifications and design standards.
- Facilitating the handoff of designs to Development and Engineering teams and participating in the QA process.
- Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in image manipulation using Photoshop.
- A strong portfolio showcasing excellence in visual design.
- Some experience in production design working with various interaction design specifications.
- iPhone user, Apple Watch a bonus.
- Passion for interactive design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people.
- Self-motivated, organized, and accountable.
- Ability to work independently and within a creative team environment.
- Ability to capture screenshots on demo devices and stitch them together in Photoshop.
- Keen attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Austin, TX, for the entire project duration.
