Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to manage prospective and existing customers within the mid-market segment in Canada. This remote role involves managing projects, advising on GitLab adoption, and exceeding client expectations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the business development team and sales management to manage a broad book of business.

Role Involves:
  • Meeting or exceeding quota while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Articulating the value of GitLab to prospects and customers.
  • Building a strong pipeline through prospecting.
  • Ensuring adoption of solutions and avoiding churn.
  • Collaborating with the Partner ecosystem.
  • Creating accurate forecasts.
  • Contributing to root cause analyses on wins/losses.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Contributing product ideas.
  • Mastering MEDPICC and Command of the Message.

Requirements:
  • Progressive experience with SaaS sales.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and sales techniques.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
