Job Description
Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Financial Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for building the critical billing systems and user experiences that power pricing, subscriptions, and revenue operations across all Vercel products. The ideal candidate will architect and develop scalable usage-based billing platforms, spend management systems, entitlements, and usage forecasting systems. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams across the entire stack to build a platform that every team at Vercel depends on.
What this role involves:
- Architecting and building the next generation of billing and monetization systems.
- Developing robust and scalable billing APIs and services.
- Developing tools that empower internal teams to seamlessly incorporate billing workflows.
- Continuously optimizing systems' performance and reliability.
- Collaborating with Product, Data, Finance, and Go-To-Market teams.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack development with experience in payments, billing, or monetization.
- Skilled in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies like AWS and Docker.
- Passion for delivering high-quality code with emphasis on accuracy, security, and scalability.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
