Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to enhance the security of its cloud environments. The successful candidate will join the cloud security team and play a key role in planning, driving, and developing security improvements and controls. This role offers autonomy and the opportunity to independently address security challenges.Responsibilities include:

• Developing and automating security controls for cloud infrastructure.
• Maintaining, integrating, and scaling cloud security tooling.
• Investigating and remediating security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
• Building access controls across the cloud infrastructure.
• Partnering with incident response teams to build detections for cloud infrastructure.
• Analyzing and mitigating security incidents affecting products.
• Developing security standards for other engineering teams.
• Working with compliance teams to ensure adherence to frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews to identify security risks.
• Collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in cloud security
• 3+ years hand-on experience working with containerized environments
• Excellent understanding of AWS, k8s and IaC solutions
• Proficiency in one or more programming language
• Experience working with cloud security posture management tooling
