Job Description
Scale AI is seeking a Head of Experiments, Generative AI to lead groundbreaking Generative AI initiatives. This role involves spearheading zero-to-one projects and driving innovation from the ground up. The Head of Experiments will play a pivotal role in defining and steering AI strategies, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. They will also cultivate a culture of excellence, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve outstanding results.

Role involves:
  • Leading the conception and execution of pioneering Generative AI projects.
  • Managing the development and curation of top-tier AI datasets.
  • Guiding and inspiring a team of Single Threaded Owners (STOs).
  • Defining and steering AI strategies.
  • Building a team from scratch.

Requirements:
  • Advanced degrees in specialized STEM fields (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Business, Finance, Economics) are highly desirable.
  • 6+ years of experience in roles involving extensive data analysis and demonstrating strong operational rigor.
  • Proven track record in leading AI or financial related projects within specialized domains.
  • Expertise in AI applications related to STEM fields.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data annotation techniques, and Generative AI model evaluation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional and high-performing teams.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
