Job Description
Scale is seeking a Staff Product Manager of AI Applications to join their International Public Sector team. This role focuses on driving the development of AI solutions for governments and government-backed entities outside the United States. The Staff Product Manager will be responsible for scoping and developing AI applications and custom LLMs, particularly in the Middle East, and will lead a team of 3-7 operators, partnering with engineering to build solutions for customers.Role involves:
  • Managing the end-to-end development process for custom AI solutions.
  • Scoping out new AI application use cases across various government entities.
  • Organizing design workshops with clients to define custom AI solutions.
  • Leading cross-functional development of AI applications and custom LLMs with diverse stakeholders.
  • Staying up to date with the latest research in applied AI and training custom LLMs.
  • Leading fine-tuning and evaluation data pipelines for custom LLMs.
  • Giving regular progress updates to the client and International Public Sector leadership.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience leading teams and/or developing products as a founder, product manager, or engineer.
  • Strong technical background (STEM degree) or experience building technical software products.
  • Experience working at a startup.
  • Experience with design principles and tools, including Figma/Canva/Miro.
  • A track record of structured, analytics-driven problem solving with an action-oriented mindset.
